This week Courtney looks at the life, murder, and court cases surrounding the death of  Matthew Shepard, an openly gay man from Wyoming in 1998. Matthew Shepard's torture and murder was international news, and inspired changes to hate crime laws in the United States, as well as advocacy and support for the LGBTQ+ community.
